Cape Coral isn’t just where we work—it’s where our story began.
Our family’s connection to this beautiful city dates to 1962, when Gram and Pap became one of the first families to build their retirement home near the iconic Cape Coral Yacht Club. What started as a dream for them quickly became a cherished tradition for us.
Every year, our family would gather here—sun-soaked days, waterfront memories, and the kind of togetherness that only Cape Coral could offer. It was more than a vacation spot; it was a second home.
In 2004, we made it official. We planted our own roots in Cape Coral, purchasing our own slice of paradise and continuing the legacy that began over 60 years ago. Today, we’re proud to live, work, and serve in the community that has given our family so much.
Cape Coral isn’t just a location—it’s a legacy. And we’re honored to be part of its story.

“We may be outnumbered, but we are never out prepared.”

Cape Coral History began in 1957 when two brothers from Baltimore, Leonard and Jack Rosen, flew over the peninsula known as Redfish Point, across the Caloosahatchee River near Ft. Myers. They spent two weeks flying around Southwest Florida looking for land to develop.
Rosen’s changed the wilderness into a waterfront paradise, a place for selling and buying dreams. Cape Coral was to become the largest master-planned community in the United States.
The first building, Rosen’s sales office, was built on what is now Cape Coral and Coronado Parkways, right at the spot where George's Auto now stands.
After several houses were built, the Yacht Club was constructed next, with a beach, pool, pier, and clubhouse.
Model homes had to be built, a motel and restaurant were needed to accommodate buyers - it was hard to keep up with the demand for a good life of swimming, lounging, fishing, boating and golfing.
Model homes were built on Flamingo and Riverside Drives. Then came businesses like the Nautilus Motel, The Cape Coral Shopping Plaza with Elmer's Market, and the Surfside Restaurant with a post office at the back of the store.
The Cape Coral bridge was built in 1964.
Another way the Rosen’s drew crowds to Cape Coral was with the famous Rose Gardens, which opened in 1964.
The Waltzing Waters, Porpoise Pool, Rose Garden, Aloha Lagoon, Garden and Pavilion of Patriots entertained prospects and residents for six years until it just got too expensive to maintain.
When the Rosen Brothers developed Cape Coral in the 1950’s, even before the city was incorporated the Rosen’s built a magnificent Park – the famous Waltzing Waters (illuminated fountains) lakes and a rose garden with more than 40,000 roses, including thousands of The Cape Coral Rose, developed by Eugene Boerner of Jackson and Perkins. Although a good tourist attraction, the Park was not long-lived because of its enormous annual operating expense and eventually the land was sold off for development.
Once home to Cape Coral’s very first tourist attraction and its beautiful flowers, the famed Rose Garden community of today is better known for its beautiful homes and well-kept properties. Found in Southwest Cape Coral, the Rose Garden neighborhood is mostly full of single-family homes and is also known for its large canals.
While the original gardens are no longer there, you may be able to still find a street sign marking Rose Garden Road. When the owner of the tourist attraction reorganized after bankruptcy, the site was developed into new homes, a marina, and Tarpon Point.
When the tourist attraction closed, however, not everything was lost. Some of the presidential busts that were once displayed as part of the Patriots Pavilion section of Cape Coral Gardens are now part of the Cape Coral Museum of History, while the Iwo Jima statue was moved to Veterans Memorial Park at the Mid-Point Bridge.
